The logo mark

I made sure the logo we chose would be memorable as it plays a big role in the customers remembering the brand.

Logo color is vital because of its mnemonic quality in the areas of recognition and recall (Hynes, 2009).

We decided on the color Brick Red because it was revealed that red / yellow colored packaging were designed to appear tasty (Thenben, 2020) and would also attract more customers to buying our products.

I added a minimalistic vector illustration (using adobe XD) of layers of gelato with a spoon on the side as our logo.

Design System

Bringing the brand into reality

Branding is an experience that goes beyond the screen.

We built an identity for Cafe Gelato and gave it an edge in this cut-throat market through packaging, some niche flavors, and also position it as the "people’s go-to" ice cream brand.

Keeping the overall theme cool and groovy, we infused a brick red color and quirky typography into the brand identity while giving emphasis on playfulness and colorfulness to foster a wholesome ice cream experience for customers.

Creating the menu and its flavors.

Working with the directors, I created a menu for the brand using playful and fun names that suit the different flavors.

Our edge is that we added niche flavors that are not usually found in the market such as Cherry Wine, and Vanilla Bulk-Shake.

We made two different packaging namely, Solo with the size of 4oz and Sharing with the size of 500ml.
